About

The Teacher
Saliha Van Nuland
Saliha Van Nuland is a certified breathwork practitioner and breathing coach, a mother, and a lifelong student of human anatomy. Based in London, her work bridges science and awareness, supporting individuals and organisations in reconnecting with their most natural rhythm: the breath.

With a strong foundation in anatomy and somatic practices, Saliha teaches how breathing directly influences the nervous system, posture, focus, and energy levels. Her approach is physiology-based and practical, translating complex science into tools that can be applied in daily life and the workplace.
Her teaching style is calm, clear, and professional. Breathwork, in her view, should be understood rather than mystified, free from jargon or ego, and grounded in structure, education, and real-world relevance.

As a mother, Saliha understands the experience of feeling overwhelmed and stretched thin. This lived perspective informs her empathetic, realistic approach, allowing her to connect with people navigating modern life while offering evidence-based guidance toward clarity, resilience, and balance.
The Method
Anatomical Breathing
Anatomical Breathing is a science-based, anatomy-led approach to breathwork that focuses on the mechanical and physiological aspects of breathing. Central to the method is the diaphragm, one of the most important and underutilised muscles in the human body.

Drawing from biomechanics, neuroscience, and functional breathing principles, the method helps individuals develop a more efficient, intelligent breathing pattern. Rather than focusing on technique alone, it builds understanding of how breath mechanics influence the nervous system, posture, and overall performance.

Through structured workshops and guided practice, participants learn to regulate stress responses, improve breathing efficiency, and cultivate steady mental clarity. These skills support both physical wellbeing and cognitive performance, in everyday life and professional environments.

Anatomical Breathing offers breathwork with structure, precision, and purpose — where education, physiology, and embodiment meet.
Credentials

Saliha Van Nuland is a certified breathwork practitioner and breathing coach, trained in physiology-based and functional breathing methods.

She completed professional certification with Dr. Belisa Vranich, a clinical psychologist and internationally recognised authority in breathing science, known for translating respiratory physiology into practical, evidence-based techniques. Saliha has also trained with Patrick McKeown through The Oxygen Advantage, a globally recognised method focused on breathing efficiency.
